A single hung window is a vertical sliding window where the bottom half of the window moves up and down, while the upper half is stationary. Single hung windows are one of the most popular types of windows because they are affordable and easy to operate. Most single hung windows have two sashes, or panels, that move independently. This allows you to open the top half of the window for ventilation without affecting the bottom half. Single hung windows are a great option for any room in your home because they provide good ventilation and plenty of natural light.
